Next Best Thing to Being There: Burning Man 2010 in Kinoma Play
(Note: Burning Man is for grown-ups. If you’re not a grown up, or if you’re not a fan of watching people letting their freak flag fly, then this stuff might not be your cup of tea. That’s totally okay with us, but we thought you’d like a heads-up.)
Burning Man is…well…

Yes! On Saturday night everyone gets together and burns the man. But it’s also…

Absolutely. There’s a bunch of incredible art installations. But it’s really…

The people. About 50,000 people make the journey to the Black Rock Desert in Nevada for a week to go a little nuts, and express themselves and rely on themselves and others in a way that one generally doesn’t get a chance to do. Sometimes without clothing.

Burning Man in Kinoma Play
For everyone who wishes they were there but isn’t, we’ve created a Burning Man 2010 category with some great video, audio and pictures. It’s got:
- 2010 Art Theme: Metropolis — Larry Harvey, the founder of Burning Man, talks about Burning Man and introduces the theme of this year’s event.
- Art Installation Audio Tours — This is a collection of audio tours for some of the biggest and most interesting art installations on the playa.
- Art Installation Photos — While you’re listening to the tours, check out photos.
- Burning Man Information Radio — This audio stream isn’t always available, but while it’s streaming you’ll be able to play it here.
- Burning Man Photos — Choose the “Newest” category to see the latest photos, or the “Most Interesting” category to see them by (surprise!) interestingness.
- Burning Man Videos — Selected videos posted to YouTube. (To see them all, use Kinoma Play’s YouTube app and search for “burning man 2010″.)
Also, you can use Kinoma Play’s Twitter app to follow @burningman and @blackrockcity for official info, and search for #brc2010 and #burningman to see what all the tweeple are saying.
Where do I find them?
You’ll find Burning Man in Travel & Weather > Burning Man 2010.
