Kinoma Notes

Content focus: Business news from MarketWatch

I like to stay on top of business news, but I can’t see myself sitting down to watch a TV show about it. There’s always radio, but it’s rare that I’m listening at the right time.

But I do have a great way to catch business news on-demand, wherever and whenever I have a few minutes — Kinoma Player.

One of my favorite Kinoma Media Guide categories for business news is Business > MarketWatch.

There are some really useful podcasts in this category, and many of them are updated every business day.

  • Bull and Bear of the Week — This weekly podcast shares some good reasoning about one stock to buy and one to sell, and why.
  • MarketWatch News Break — If you just want a quick summary of the business news making headlines that day, this is the podcast for you.
  • Money, Markets & More — This is a daily look at Wall Street and business stories that affect everybody, and a good way to learn what we’re buying and how much we’re spending.
  • Morning Stock Talk — Hear about what’s driving the stock market directly from those in the know. They discuss big stock movers, economic data and investment trends with Wall Street’s top analysts, strategists and traders.
  • Stupid Investment of the Week — This show focuses on one stupid inventment, looking at the conditions and problems that make it stupid with the goal of making it easier to root out bad investments when you come across them.
  • Real Estate Round-Up — In these turbulent financial times, this daily podcast discusses the latest news, trends and developments on the home front.
  • Take On Tech — As a geek in the tech industry, I really enjoy this daily podcast about the business of technology.
  • Your Money — This is a daily selection of money tips and advicee, as well as interviews with some of the financial world’s top minds. The host also uses listener requests to talk specific stocks and funds with high-profile money managers.

Another nice thing about these? Most are pretty short, making it easy to keep up whenever you have a few minutes.
