Mobilize your music: Kinoma Player + Winamp Remote
If you use Kinoma Player you’re already living the future of mobile music, especially if you’re a listener of some of the thousands of Kinoma Media Guide radio stations and podcasts.
But do you use Kinoma Player to stream your personal music library? If not, you can use the just-released beta of Winamp Remote — a custom version of Orb — together with Kinoma Player to do just that.

Download and install
Get the Winamp Remote installer from the Winamp Remote site, or download a combined Winamp/Winamp Remote installer from the Winamp site.
Just follow the prompts, and click Allow this program if your firewall asks if “Orb” can access the internet.
Set your PC preferences
A new Winamp Remote icon will appear in the lower-right area of your screen. Right-click the icon, choose Configuration, and make sure the Media tab is pointing at your music folders.
For best performance, remove any Video or Music folders that you’re not using.
Set your phone preferences
Launch Web (Blazer) and login to http://winamp.orb.com/ with the username and password you selected during installation, then pick New speed test to get a base download speed.

My speed test reported 75 kilobits/sec when and where I tested it, so I picked Settings and chose a fairly-conservative fixed speed of 50 Kb/s.

Enjoy!
Go to the Audio tab, pick a category, then pick Shuffle to start streaming your music.
If you experience occasional rebuffering, just go to Settings and pick a slightly lower datarate until you find one that works. And if you have other questions or need more help, be sure to let us know in the Kinoma forum.
