Kinoma Notes

In case of emergency, launch Kinoma

I’m in Encinitas, California (just north of San Diego) as I write this. There are several wildfires raging out of control. Winds are very high, and humidity is very low. So far an estimated quarter of a million people have been evacuated, and over 100,000 acres have been burned.

All, in all, it’s looking a bit like Mordor around here.

This morning I realized that I couldn’t find the transistor radio that we bought expressly for such emergencies. Thankfully Kinoma Player is working like a champ, and I’m now glued to my local public radio station’s live Windows Media stream.

The lesson? Kinoma Player probably won’t save your life..but you never know!
