Here at Kinoma, we’re always on the look­out for ways to make Kinoma Player 4 EX even nicer to use.

As the guide has grown — at last count, to over 20,000 items — we found that it wasn’t always obvi­ous which things were cat­e­gories, which were feeds, and which were indi­vid­ual feed items.

I believe yesterday’s new enhance­ment to the Kinoma Media Guide has solved that. If you’ve used it since yes­ter­day, here’s what you’ve seen:

To achieve this, we spent the last few weeks adding “con­tent type” meta­data every­where so that we could give you a visual hint about what’s going to hap­pen when you click.

Try it! I think you’ll find that it makes using the guide eas­ier and more enjoy­able. As always, we’d love to hear your thoughts in the com­ments or in our forum.
