The secret sauce in SlingPlayer Mobile for Palm OS

If you’re not familiar with the Slingbox — Slingboxen, actually, since there are now several models — they’re one of the best place-shifting devices around. With a Slingbox, you can watch your own TV from almost anywhere.

Until recently, you needed a Windows PC, a Mac, a Pocket PC or Windows Smartphone to do it.

Today Sling Media released the Palm OS version of SlingPlayer Mobile. Now you can watch your TV from anywhere that you have a Treo and a signal.

Although SlingPlayer Mobile for Palm OS is a brand new application, it’s built on the same proven Kinoma technology at the core of Kinoma Player 4 EX and Kinoma Media Embedded built into your Palm Treo 680, 700p or 755p.

Another thing that Kinoma Player 4 EX and SlingPlayer Mobile have in common is no monthly subscription fee. Imagine having access to your own TV (and your TiVo!) — in addition to the 1,000s of podcasts, radio stations, webcams and more in the Kinoma Media Guide — in the palm of your hand for $0 per month.

Congratulations to our friends at Sling Media!
