Kinoma Notes

Giving your Treo permanent permission to have fun

More and more of our customers have unlimited data plans, often because they get addicted to content in the Kinoma Media Guide. Occasionally we get asked how they can prevent Kinoma Player from asking for permission every time it wants to connect.

Good news: This is actually a Palm OS preference, and you can easily instruct Palm OS not to ask permission every time it wants to initiate a data connection.

First, go to the Prefs application and choose Network (in the Communications category). Then open the Options menu and choose Preferences, and you’ll see a preferences panel that looks something like this:

Simply uncheck Ask before connecting to the Internet, and Palm OS will no longer need permission every time it wants to connect.
